WITH ‘DANCE WITH ME,’ #1 MOST ADDED ON THE FMQB AC40 CHART,
#3 MOST ADDED ON THE R&R AC CHART AND #2 MOST ADDED AT MEDIABASE
Air Supply’s millions of fans around the world know the legendary hitmaking duo is far from “All Out of Love”—in fact, they’re back on the Adult Contemporary charts for the first time in many years with “Dance With Me,” the first single from their Odds On Records debut Mumbo Jumbo.
Just weeks after composer and vocalist Graham Russell was honored with a BMI Million-Air Certificate recognizing 3 million performances of the duo’s hit “All Out Of Love,” Air Supply’s new song was the #1 most added track on the FMQB AC40 Chart, #3 most added on the R&R (Radio and Records) AC Chart and #2 most added on the Mediabase AC chart.
On both the R&R and Mediabase most added charts, Air Supply follows 2009 American Idol Kris Allen and Idol runner-up Adam Lambert and is just ahead of Daughtry and Nickelback. The duo’s “New and Active” designation on the main R&R AC chart is shared by Lady GaGa featuring Beyonce, Ke$ha, Barenaked Ladies, Kelly Clarkson and Colbie Caillat. Air Supply debuts at #43 on the main Mediabase AC chart, ahead of Clarkson and Lifehouse and just behind Mariah Carey, Lady GaGa and Katy Perry.
Mumbo Jumbo is Air Supply’s first studio album of all original material since 2002’s Across The Concrete Sky. And speaking of Idols, another of its tracks, “Hold On,” features Australian heartthrob rocker Michael Johns, a season seven finalist. .
Air Supply is touring the U.S. this year after a whirlwind schedule these past few years that has included hundreds of concerts everywhere from The Philippines and Singapore to Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, Israel, Brazil and Vietnam.
